NUOVO Lab & Gallery is pleased to announce the launch of artist Wang Chang's solo exhibition "Sky Machine" at Wangfujing Space on October 15 at 3 PM. The power of painting is the ability and weight of continuous intervention in vision, which not only tells all the known history and reality of mankind, but also relies on images, the exploration of vision and the resulting control of human mind and wisdom. In the same way, we can call all painters today graphic artists, whose work is rooted in the visual image, reconstructing the idea, nature and symbolic history of pictorial language that can be analyzed on the boundaries of multiple disciplines, and ultimately presenting the composite meaning of experience and the transcendental world.
In Wang Chang's creation, we can fully identify the power of this painting, in his grand cosmological framework, the meaning of experience and transcendental experience are fully and clearly expressed by the artist with his unique language. The title of the exhibition is an interpretation of the cosmological view of Wang Chang's works, which is both astronomical and metaphysical numerology, natural spirit and secret providence.

The sum of all the stars is the celestial machine, the overall description of the stars is the celestial machine map, and the more crucial meaning is that the celestial machine map is not only the pictorial description of the celestial objects, but also the derivation of the concept of the universe.

His style, composition, color, lines, techniques, as well as his precise control of his personal painting language, without teachers or friends, sometimes reminds us of Morandi, an outlier in Western art history, who is no one like him before him. After him, there is no one like him, he is a lone case in the star of art, but also a lone pine on the top of the mountains. Like a lone star in the night sky, it constantly emits its own persistent light. Wang Chang is such an artist, he is so self-unique, different, "not before the ancients, not after the comers", but no one need to weep for this, because we are all witnesses of art.

日前,中国美术馆策划推出“刘开渠与留法雕塑家作品展”,展出刘开渠、滑田友、王临乙、曾竹韶、熊秉明等20世纪上半叶留法雕塑家的作品140余件,讲述中国现代雕塑与法国艺术的源流脉络。
